Summer Kicks Off at Salt Creek - June 3, 2022
Storm system east of New Zealand generated decent 2-day pulse of long period swell that radiated northeast on May 27, 2022 and arrived on the West Coast on June 3, 2022. It was the first solid swell of the summer at Salt Creek. Overcast with mild south wind. Lines with a period of about 16 seconds from south-southwest rolled in on a fairly consistent basis later in the morning. Size ranged from 4 to 6 feet with some sets to 7 feet or so. No current. The crew at the Point was out in force. Middles was not too crowded. Water is warming up to the low to mid 60s. After recently bouncing off the bottom, I have started wearing a Mystic MK8 Watersport Helmet.
